Rules:
The competition will be held as individual matches (regardless of gender), consisting of a best-of-three games format (elimination system). The winners will advance to the next round.
Participants will be matched through a lottery draw. The losing teams in the semifinals will first compete in the third-place playoff, and the champion will be invited to participate in an exhibition match with former Hong Kong team champions.
Competition Rules:
1. Participants must wear non-marking sports shoes.
2. The competition format is best of three games, with each game played to 11 points. In the deciding game, scoring will start at 5-5.
3. Participants must check in with the staff 15 minutes before the competition; otherwise, they will be considered as forfeiting.
4. Participants may bring their own table tennis paddles or borrow one from the staff.
5. At the start of each match, a coin toss will determine which side serves first, and thereafter, the player who scores will be responsible for serving.
6. Aside from the above rules, all other competition regulations will follow international standards.
Special Guest: Mr. Mak King-ho (Registered Coach of the Hong Kong Table Tennis Association; former member of the Hong Kong Table Tennis Team, participated in the 2013 World Table Tennis Championships (Paris) in singles and doubles, and in the Hong Kong Open Ranking Singles Championship, where he won the Hong Kong A Division Championship and the 2017 Hong Kong Open Table Tennis Team Championship in the Men’s A Division).
